I provide individual psychotherapy to adults who are struggling with stress and anxiety. Anxiety and un-checked stress can touch every aspect of your life, making it difficult to focus, to sleep, to enjoy your life, and be present in your relationships. Often anxiety has roots in schemas we developed during difficult childhoods. Therefore, it’s important to treat both the symptoms of anxiety and stress and the deeper issues that perpetuate our discomfort.
My approach to treating anxiety and stress in individual psychotherapy is relationship-focused, integrating mindfulness and Cognitive-Behavior Therapy. You are the focus in the therapy and I am there to guide through research-backed strategies to help you feel in control of your life and your reactions. I have advanced training in Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Dialectical-Behavior Therapy, Schema Therapy, Mindfulness, and Cognitive-Behavior Therapy for Insomnia. We will artfully use these approaches to help you feel less controlled by your stress and anxiety, so you can sleep easy and be present in your relationships.
